We are a legacy brand—three generations strong—founded on values of hard work, service, and precision. Based in St. Joseph, Missouri, we’ve spent over 65 years paving the roads, runways, parking lots, and industrial corridors that keep Northwest Missouri moving.

Where It All Began: The Keller Story
Keller Construction was born from a promise made thousands of miles from home.
During World War II, Alfred Keller served as a bomber pilot in the Pacific theater. Between missions, he observed the construction of military runways—massive asphalt operations that allowed the war effort to keep advancing. Alfred told himself that if he made it home safely, he would dedicate his life to building an asphalt plant of his own.
That vision became reality in 1950. Alfred returned to St. Joseph, Missouri, and built what would become Keller Construction. In the early years, the company focused on local paving work, relying on Alfred’s leadership, work ethic, and instinct for quality. By 1964, the company had grown strong enough to incorporate. Word spread quickly that Keller Construction did things the right way—with fairness, reliability, and excellent results.
Growth Through Generations: THe Keller Future
Alfred’s son, Jim Keller, joined the company and eventually took the reins.
Jim expanded operations while preserving the values his father instilled: put your name behind your work, and always deliver what you promise. Under Jim’s leadership, Keller Construction became known for municipal and commercial asphalt work, partnering with contractors and public works departments across the region.
In 2010, the third generation stepped up. Jim’s sons, Tony and Andy Keller, officially became owner-partners, bringing fresh energy while maintaining the legacy of excellence. Today, Tony and Andy lead Keller Construction into the future with the same integrity that’s guided the company since day one. With them at the helm, the company continues to grow, expanding its footprint across Northwest Missouri and taking on some of the region’s most complex commercial asphalt projects.
Now, the fourth generation is beginning to leave its mark. Tony’s two sons are learning the business from the ground up—working alongside the team, gaining hands-on experience, and preparing to carry the Keller legacy forward for years to come.
